Rich Willie is a decorated U.S. Army Major, seasoned dealmaker, and the founding partner of WW Partners, a premier Utah-based law firm focused on corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, securities, and complex litigation. With a rare blend of legal insight, operational experience, and military discipline, Rich is trusted by founders, and high-stakes ventures across industries.
As General Counsel for Warrior Rising, a national nonprofit empowering veteran entrepreneurs, Rich provides legal oversight and strategic guidance to one of the fastest-growing ecosystems for veteran-led startups. His dual background in military leadership and transactional law makes him uniquely positioned to advise mission-driven companies with precision and clarity.
Prior to founding WW Partners, Rich served as an attorney at Nelson Jones and as a Company Commander in the Utah Army National Guard, where he continues to serve as a Major. His leadership in both the courtroom and the field has earned him the respect of clients and colleagues alike.
At BlackStar Syndicate, Rich serves as legal partner and strategic advisor—helping founders structure deals, protect their IP, and prepare for scale.
