Brigadier General (Ret.) Paul Peters

Paul Peters spent over 30 years operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, more than 25 of them inside U.S. Special Operations Forces. He has led in environments where information is incomplete, time is short, and the cost of getting it wrong is high. That is exactly the kind of experience Black Star was built to carry forward.

As Deputy Commanding General of 1st Special Forces Command, Paul helped lead a 23,000-person organization focused on readiness, human performance, and complex system integration. He directed U.S.-Iraq military engagement as head of the Military Advisory Group in Iraq, overseeing more than $500 million in security cooperation efforts. He commanded the 19th Special Forces Group across a multi-state, globally engaged footprint spanning more than 35 countries.

Today, through PSP Strategic LLC, Paul works at the junction of government, academia, and industry. Helping organizations translate analytical insight into operational outcomes. His focus: developing the kind of people and teams capable of making sound decisions in rapidly evolving environments.

Paul holds an MSS from the U.S. Army War College, an MBA from Westminster College, and a BS from the University of Utah. His military decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, and Combat Infantryman’s Badge. He is a Special Forces-qualified Green Beret and holds a Top Secret clearance with SCI access.

When he is not advising at the strategic level, Paul is summiting peaks. Kilimanjaro, Chimborazo, Rainier, and the Grand Teton among them.
