Esperanza Guevara

Esperanza Guevara has spent her career at the intersection of intelligence, technology, and operations, building the systems that turn complex capability into daily, reliable use. Whether inside a Special Forces fusion cell or on an AI training floor, her approach is the same: understand how the technology actually works, then build what the team in front of her needs to use it well.

As an All Source Intelligence Analyst with the 19th Special Forces Group, Esperanza has spent more than five years producing time sensitive intelligence products supporting Special Forces mission planning and execution. She helped lead a fusion tracking cell during a joint exercise that cut medevac and time sensitive response rates by more than 50 percent, and delivered targeting products, scenario injects, and briefings supporting SOMTC and African Lion, a major joint training exercise with U.S. and foreign military partners. She was named an Honor Graduate by the U.S. Army School of Intelligence for her performance in targeting, analysis, and classified reporting, and holds an active TS/SCI clearance.

Esperanza brings that same systems oriented approach to her work in AI and technology. At Tesla, she supervised a team of 25 plus analysts supporting neural network training for Autopilot and Cybareb, working directly with engineers to refine perception accuracy and translate technical requirements into operational workflows that held quality standards above 90 percent. Earlier in her career, she built the reporting layers and technical systems behind high volume operations, including leading teams of up to 50 people across multiple retail launches. Across every environment, she has focused on the same problem: closing the loop between the people building the technology and the people who have to use it.

Esperanza is completing her final year of a Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Utah, with coursework in financial modeling, data driven decision making, and strategic analysis, and holds an Associate’s degree in Military Strategic Intelligence from Cochise College, where she graduated with distinction.

At Black Star, Esperanza leads outreach to intelligence and technology adjacent companies, and drives the growth of our veteran partnership programs, connecting operators and founders with the resources, networks, and relationships they’ve earned. Outside of work, she recently returned from six months abroad across four countries, and brings the same instinct that defines her professional work to travel: read the manual, understand the system, then find a way to be useful in it.
